Springfield man dies in fatal truck versus motorcycle accident

Police told Ozarks First crews on scene that the operator of the 2006 Honda motorcycle, a 25-year-old Brandon Hudson, has died.

The accident happened Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m. in the outside lane of Kearney and Broadway Street.

The motorcycle, according to Springfield Police, was heading west on Kearney heading towards Broadway from the east. A 2016 Chevrolet Silverado truck pulling an approximately 15 foot trailer was heading east on Kearney and in the left turn lane to go north on Broadway.

The truck got in front of the motorcycle in the intersection. The truck driver didn’t report any injuries, but Hudson died at the scene due to the crash.

Police say this is the fourth fatality motor vehicle crash in Springfield this year
